Contents Page

  1. This is the contents page of my magazine. I have used the same colour scheme and fonts as my front cover to keep consistency throughout the magazine.
I started by taking various photographs of students aged 16-19 looking casual/relaxed through. This is to make the reader understand that the target audience is your average student to help them relate to it.

I placed the articles and page references at the bottom half of the page on a dark blue background. This is to add diversity to the magazine in terms of layouts and different backgrounds. I also off set the detail of the articles underneath the titles to make the contents more 'funky' to appeal to students because so far the text on the contents page has been very straight and felt serious. The main story has been highlighted directly underneath the images with a white background to increase viability and attract the attention. This is because this article I felt to have been the most interesting (due to the fame of the subject of the interview) article.

I used the same font and colours as on the front cover masthead as the contents page to further keep consistency. But I have changed the font to an easier to read Sans Serif font for the articles lines and page references to make sure the magazine isn't all the same font and make it not appear boring. I resized the appropriate lines of text for different purposes, for example the page numbers aren't so important so they are smaller than the article titles themselves.
